You are completely missing the point. There was a time where one could post a song and by the end of the thread it's polished. Not anymore, the only comments that get left are how cliched everything is, nothing about what could be improved upon, now it's either it's a piece of gold or scrap to you people. Christ make songwriting somthing that was fun just not anymore. I can't offer something to be looked at as a piece and how to make it better... wtfe.... i don't know why i bother... it's just a ######ing joke now.

God, i am sick and tired of you guys telling me how cliched something is. GET A GRIP! Cliches are cliches because everyone relates to em! *STEREOTYPE ALERT* I don't have a busted pickup a broken heart and a dead dog... so i don't listen to country... because i don't relate!!! Cliches sell songs, if you can make someone feel like you are singing their story they but it!!! So nuts to you a$$holes because this forum has gone so far downhill, theres no fuc**ing constructive criticism here it's all a bunch of dicks who have nothing better to do than sit around and tell people what they hate about everysong which is the same god damn thing as the next. So here's my ONE FINGER SALUTE TO GTU! F**K OFF!

As always thanks for the appreciation and response guys. As to horn82y, yes the simplicity comes from the fact that it was not forced at all, but truly just came out. And to dorio, always look forward to your advice, but i don't know exactly where and what to put in as a bridge, just seems that the song would become over complicated by adding more for the need of melodic twist, but to each their own. Again thanks for the response guys.

Here is the chord progression as i was playin it With a capo on the third.
D
Standin outside again
Cadd9 G
feelin the pouring rain

Am Em
But if you lose your way
G D
darlin don't be 'fraid
Am Em

Under the old oak tree
Cadd9 G

the hedges grow taller

With one quick step
i could end it all
Never giving thought
to where i'll fall
i could end it all
Never giving thought
to where i'll fall
That's what you need to write about.
How is that all i need to write about? i put in the conflict of thoughts.... i just don't understand the comment.
