Well that's it guys. It seems that I'm not allowed to express a legally sound opinion that differs from that of the GTU administration.

The last three years has been great - I've really enjoyed your company. I'd like to stay on as a member, but I just can't do it if my posts are going to be deleted for stating the truth (this has already happened).

I wish you all the best. I hope all of your musical dreams come true and don't forget - if they're dancing that means you're grooving, and if you're grooving that means you've captured the real spirit of bass.

Bye guys.

The thread in discussion was originally in here and the mods said they had no problem with it so I don't know what this is going to accomplish.

emphasis mine

Actually bro - I did tell you that as a Tab Reviewer you should now lead by example and avoid controversial sigs. Remember?

Now lets all concentrate on this sentence. "Inappropriate" does not equal "pornographic". The last time the issue of your sig was raised the discussion revolved around whether it is pornographic or not. But that's not really the issue. The sig is not pornographic, but it is inappropriate if it is obviously causing discomfort to some members.

I would hope that respect for other members sensitivities will outscore the desire to be wilfully obtuse on this matter. smile.gif

You see, that's why you need to be careful.

The fuse blew because the kid was playing it too hard? The amp should work fine even when turned up to complete maximum. That's what it's rated for. Are you saying that this kid had it turned up to 10 and the guy in the shop didn't mind the noise? But even if he did, the fuse should still not have blown. The fuse is there to protect against power surges, not high volumes.

I could understand it if the speaker box blew if it wasn't matched properly to the head.

The only thing I can think of is that it was hooked up to a couple of speaker boxes that put the total resistance (ohms) below the safe threshold. Either that or it's dodgy.

But honestly, "kid playing it too hard" is not the kind of confidence inspiring explanation that I would expect from a store professional.

And I don't care for your choice of shirts, either.

Rickenbacker every time.
