korg kaoss pad question

19 December 2006 - 02:55 AM

Has anyone played a korg kaoss pad? I understand what they're meant to do, but are they worth using as a 'guitar effect?'

I've heard one used to cut up and warp vocals, which was cool. I was thinking of maybe acquiring the mini version of the pad and sticking it on my effects board. Is it worthwhile using it as a guitar toy? I thought it would be a cool extra to have, or even if I had it on my board and fed the vocal mic through it.

Anyway, if anyone has got any tales/advice etc, I'd love to hear them

Cheers

Silent Night

Anyone know the correct chords for Silent Night? I've been playing it in A, but can't seem to find a chord sequence on the web that is completely accurate.

If anyone can help I'd be really grateful and wish you seasons greetings

'patch-downloading' pedal questions

04 December 2006 - 02:23 PM

Hi

Does anyone know of a pedal that can be used exclusively for storing downloaded patches of guitar effects such as max/msp?

I know Zoom multi-effects allow you to download some patches to their boards. I would like to have a pedal or box that allows me to have saved patches in a pedal I can fit onto my pedalboard, rather than have to run my guitar through a laptop to use them.

So, does anyone know anything about this, or have I stepped into the sci-fi zone where these types of things only exist in the mind of geetar nerds?

If anyone can give me the lowdown, I'd be most grateful

Cheers

Marshall gain question

29 November 2006 - 01:53 PM

I like the sound of a guitar straight into a marshall practice amp with the gain high. Does anyone know which Marshall pedal I can re-create this with, because I don't have a big Marshall amp right now. Will vany of the cheaper Marshall pedals recreate it? I've tried the Bluesbraker pedal, but it wasn't great in re-creating the sound I wanted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers.
