#3518756 Oh boy, more spam than topics. :(

Posted by Nealio on 04 December 2017 - 06:41 AM

I just got rid of a few more. Friday was pretty heavy. I probably deleted a couple of dozen or more. If the site could just ban any .ru addresses it would probably prevent 75% or more of them. Oh, well.... :happyno:

Did you get a PM I sent you John?

Yeah I gave up on the status update area ages ago, I just couldn't keep up with it once it got out of hand. It would be nice if Rob could delete it, and also make it impossible for anyone with less than say 10 posts to make a thread/post with a link in it.

David Duckenfield charged with 95 counts of manslaughter. Charges also brought against 5 others including Peter Metcalf and Norman Bettison.

Hang the cunts.

Yeah. We didn't look a thing like Jesus.

But we talked like gentlemen.

#3509717 "Recent Status Updates" area

Rob, is there any chance you could remove this area? It's like a magnet for spambots, and regular users don't bother with it any more. I'm deleting about 500 of these bots everyday, and I'm pretty sure Sixy is doing the same. It's getting a bit tedious at this stage.

If you vote, you're part of the problem.

Sorry Dave but that's a pretty silly outlook.

Can't believe it's a year already Rick. Sorry to hear you're feeling down. I hope life picks up again for you soon.

I think it's spoken as "C add 9" or something like that?

I don't think it comes after G either

Credit to Leicester my arse. To come out and play like that after sacking their manager speaks volumes about them as a club. They've lost a lot of the respect they gained last season. Fuck Leicester.

#3507382 Losing a pet

Sorry to hear that, Nicole. I'm not a "pet" person myself (I've never actually had one, other than some cats that decided to take refuge at my mum and dads when I was growing up), but I can only imagine it must be very traumatic.

#3507381 Pre Gig Nerves

Sadly I tend to struggle with high notes as well. We do a Pearl Jam version of Rockin' in the Free World, and while I only do main vocals on a couple of songs, I really struggle with that one. People keep saying that the best way to reach the higher notes is with experience. Just keep at it and at it, and eventually it will come. I'm not so sure though.

Good to hear it went without mich fuss. Btw I'm assuming u're the guitarist for the band?! Y'all have it easy :P singers really have a much scarier job, speaking from experience.

When the singer has a voice like yours, Waz, they have absolutely nothing to be scared of. True story.

I used to get nervous when I first started gigging. But not anymore. I do mostly pub gigs so the audience tends to be quite forgiving of fuck ups. Even when playing new stuff that I'm not 100% confident with, I know I'm experienced enough to improvise or "bluff" it. People generally don't notice mistakes anyway, and the ones who do (usually musicians themselves) are usually professional enough not to rub your face in it.
