. o.k., kg815, I'll bite. I agree with Palin and find McCain reaqlly cute,laugh.gif,
No serisouly, the list seems like a pretty strong list. May I ask what it is for?

Ok I'm sorry if it seemed pointless to some people but the reason I did it was to see if my survey came out as "standard" as all the others and sure enough it did!!
I didn't only run it on this site but also with all my friends who are into music and who play like myself.
Although it turned out quite predictable almost every player of note was mentioned at some point i.e Hackett, Albert Lee,Vai, Satch,Carlton, Fripp, Harrison, Gary Moore,Holdsworth,Gilbert, Steve Howe, Greg Howe, Shawn Lane, Schenker , Angus Young, Slash,Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuelle,Peter Green, Tony Iommi,Lindsey Buckingham, Joe Walsh, Joe Perry,Robert Johnson, B.B King, Grant Green, Roy Buchanan, Bumblefoot and many many more. Despite this the top 5 was still as expected with the number 5 slot being the most erratic with a number of players vieing for this place.
I certainly don't believe there is such a thing as the "best" guitar player of all time and I didn't want people judging on speed, technique, feel or even innovativeness just who you would pick as your top 5 if you HAD to .
Thanks for your input and I'm sorry if some of you found it tiresome
Rob

P.S Here's a few names that weren't mentioned at all...Nuno Bettencourt,Carl Verheyen, Lee Ritenour,Mike Stern, Mick Taylor,Steve Morse, Buckethead, Matthias Eklundh,Bernie Marsden ....

Thanks again

About the only thing that I think might help with it is to replace the speakers with something higher quality.
Yes thanks for your comments. I played last night and took the treble down quite a bit and took the middle down without scooping it right out and it was considerably better. Just out of interest what speakers would you recommend if I did think of changing them?? they would probably cost more than the combo lol!! ( it was 199 )
