Having read a great deal of this thread, i realize i have watched you all grow up, and become productive and functioning human beings. It has made me realize that this is far more than a guitar site with us all coming together as people with a common interest, but a family who have watched each other grow. We have all shared in each others lives and witnessed, both tragedy and happiness, and all the emotions possible to share both in real life and through the internet. I may not come here that often anymore, but still care about you all as an internet family, and for me my first internet family. My only regret is that i will never meet you all in person.

I have always liked "wanker". And Cowabunga, naturally. Anyway.
U2. I hate U2 so very much. I don't know if it's the music or the guy or the whole shebang but yuck every time I hear it.
I also have a kind of love/hate thing with Twenty One Pilots. On the one hand I find them so douchey! But on the other, they have 2 or 3 catchy tunes. I dunno.

Y'know how in Peter Pan, Wendy is forced into domestic life and has to grow old, but Peter and the Lost Boys get to go on fighting pirates in Neverland forever? That's how I feel today, logging back into my GTU account for the first time in five years. I'm old and sighing at windows all the time, but everyone else is still as electric and eloquent and silly as they ever were. There's something kind of dazzling about scrolling the boards and finding that Derf and Six and the Major and Herr and, well, SO MANY of them men I spent my teens talking to are still here, still talking, still exchanging ideas.
I started my life as a GTUer in 2004, as a lonely 14 year old living in Ireland. I genuinely feel like this place is the first place I ever felt heard, or listened to, or understood. I feel like I learned how to be myself by posting on this forum. Which is weird, because virtually every woman I talk to has an opposite story about their experience with male-dominated forums: it's generally one of exclusion, or just kinda gross sexism. So, thanks, you guys, for just being my friends.
So hey, hi, hello, how are you? What have I missed? Who is married, who's gay, who's a dad?

No, see they had their contract just legislatively forced upon them. But they asked for it because why else would the union have been wearing such a short skirt!
Right - a drunk CAN consent to a contract forced upon them!
Teachers are all winos.

We're only like 3.5 people per square km. So we have tons of room.
Have you got room for 16 million terrified Remain voters?
You can have all of Nunavut, in fact.
Typical Whitey, giving away land that doesn't belong to you..
Oh man, what an internal conflict that is for me. I'm split three ways: German land thieves on my mums side, Native's displaced by the former on my dad's mums side, and refugee invaders on my dads dads side.

I wonder how the holier-than-thou lefty "I just can't vote for Hillary" brigade are feeling right now. They're probably out protesting.
Yes, probably continuing to fight for their beliefs. I wonder where the "Hillary brigade" is now. They're probably in watching antiques roadshow.
