#3506408 Everything President Trump

We could probably keep trump distracted for the next 4 years with a coordinated twitter trolling campaign.

Or by a simple Twitter bot or two. It's not like he would be able to tell the difference.

Is that a hard drive?

Happy Birthday!

It was a 2.5" HDD. Now it's a piece of molten scrap metal. We had a whole pile of old HDDs to scrap and the company that does out IT wanted like $80 per HDD to securely destroy them. I told my boss that we could take care of that ourselves so we had some fun. Turns out a regular 3.5" SCSI HDD can take somewhere between 5 and 10 tonnes before the aluminium case breaks. So I did hard work and science!

Sorry, what I meant was, the cause of the shortage wasn't primarily caused by crop failure as so many seem to think. It was caused by theft. This always gets ommited from the history books.

Who stole them? Was it Britain

Yes it was another one of the classical "and then the Brits came and fucked everything up".

I wish I could do Podcasts.....don't have the attention span for it.

Have you tried Welcome To Night Vale? They have really short episodes and the musical break tends to be rather interesting.

The new job is good. Sometimes there's a lot to do and then it's manual labor. Other days, there's nothing much to do and then I can do pretty much whatever I want. I've used the electronics lab to do a little project where I am trying to transplant the electronics from a kitchen timer into an old alarm clock. This week, I got a crash course in welding which was good fun. I'll see if someone can show me how to use the other big tools in the metal workshop and I might be able to build some fun stuff. The actual job is mainly bending of shaking  large things until they break. Yesterday, we managed to finally crack the welds on the frame for a bus and today we got a 180 l diesel tank to crack after shaking it for a couple of days.

It's not even close to what my fancy degree is about but I am enjoying myself until they can find an assignment for me. It seems like something will show up in a couple of months.

Life is pretty good right now.

That episode of Top Gear where they went to Ukraine and ended up going into the Chernobyl exclusion zone was stunning. Obviously I knew it was uninhabited but actually seeing them drive through it was eerie as fuck.

its not uninhabited, theres this whole clan of mutant cannibals who live in the shadows, there. i seen a documentary on it

Was it called STALKER?

Turns out having a job involves doing actual work now.

So, after having basically no luck what so ever with jobs for two and a half years, I got two good ones on the same day. I have a signed contract next to me so I am officially a consultant. Today and yesterday were super stressful but it feels kinda good to be actively hunted for once and not just hunting around and hoping.

You forgot the chips? You messed up.

I kinda think Bill Bailey is the saving grace. He seems to have a good grasp of comedy. I'm sure I've heard his Name before positively. And Dylan isn't bad... I just don't jibe with his comedic vibe. So,etching inorganic about his performances. I mean what do I know real...just my impression

Check out his stand up. Then also check out Bill Bailey's stand up.

Anything in particular?

It's been awhile since I watched them but I think Monster and Like, Totally are the best from Dylan Moran. I quite like Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra because he gets to mess around with a full orchestra and it's basically all music based humour. For the more standard stand up, we have Tinselworm, Qualmpeddler, Dandelion Mind and Part Troll.

I wish movies would stop doing car chases....they're boring. All of them...

But there would be nothing left of Fury Road if you removed the car chases.
